GUILTY PLEASURE
Today I had what passed for a normal day. I went to the City, paid some bills, did some shopping, made a deposit at the Red Cross collection box etc. What surprised me is that people are desparate to return to normality despite threats of another rally today.
I finally had a drink with some of my workmates at Psys. It was packed as the usual Friday night. We exchanged the horrifying stories we had heard from relatives and friends. What is clear is that the full story of all the atrocities out there is not being reported. The situation in Kisumu, Kakamega, Kisii and Eldoret is bleak and it will take many years to repair the damage to the communities affected. In fact any attempt to gloss over these issues will only result in more problems in future.
Anyway I had my beer but felt so gulity about having one with all the death and destruction all round that I left ......

A temporary political solution may not lift the country from the current mess.It high time that we identify and develop fundamental governing structure that takes on board the our unique socio-political and economic circumstances. If we dont pursue this route our country will again erupt in future. It is on this premise that I say that key in the Agenda of the the Annan Mediation effots must be mentioned the question of constitutional review.
